Existing sidewalk, driveways and pedestrian ramps will be upgraded to current Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Portions of existing concrete curb and gutter, as well as underground storm pipe, will be replaced. The project is scheduled to start in July and end in October.
Traffic impacts
Highway 22 will be open to two-way traffic during construction, however, drivers will encounter temporary shoulder and lane closures, along with other minor traffic impacts. Pedestrians will encounter temporary sidewalk and ramp closures. Travelers are encouraged to allow extra time and watch for traffic sign instructions and flagging crews.
All businesses and residences will remain accessible during construction. See the map that outlines the project work zone.
