Financial Assistance

Financial assistance provides support to low income residents of McLeod County.  We determine eligibility for public assistance programs such as Medical Assistance, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly known as Food Support), General Assistance, and the Minnesota Family Investment Program.   To be eligible for these services, you must meet the specific program guidelines and be within the monthly income and asset limits.  To see if you may qualify for a service, you can complete the Eligibility Screening Tool.  Click here for information on How to Apply for Financial Assistance in McLeod County.

ApplyMN

ApplyMN is Minnesota's secure, online system you can use to apply for cash assistance, SNAP (food support), emergency help, and child care assistance programs.

To get started, visit Minnesota Human Services Online to use an online pre-screening tool to find out if you might qualify for benefits and to register for a user ID and password.

If you already have a user ID and password, you can log on to ApplyMN directly.
