McLeod County utilizes the CodeRED system, a high-speed emergency notification service provided by OnSolve, LLC.
The CodeRED system serves as the county's emergency planning and communications outreach to both citizens and response personnel. CodeRED is a system capable of sending telephone calls, text messages, emails and social media messaging in an effort to effectively inform residents to protect life and property during emergencies. CodeRED's provides McLeod County officials with a reliable, easy-to-use interface to quickly disseminate critical information to our citizens during emergencies. The County uses the system to notify residents in specific geographic locations of hazardous material incidents, floods, drinking water emergencies, missing or endangered person notices and other incidents that threatens our communities.
