Seeking Bids - SLATS Cold Storage Building

Notice is hereby given that electronic bids will be received until 1 PM on January 25, 2022 at the Office of McLeod County Public Works for the projects listed below. Bids shall be submitted electronically through BidVAULT.

• SLATS – Cold Storage Building, located at 19955 Falcon Avenue, Silver Lake, Minnesota  60’ wide x 150’ long x 16’ clear height wood post frame clear span uninsulated storage building with a 60’ x 75’ x 5-1/2” concrete floor (remaining building will have a recycled asphalt pavement floor) and electrical.

Paper plans/proposals may be purchased from McLeod County Public Works for a fee of $200. Make checks payable to McLeod County Treasurer and send payment to McLeod Public Works, Attention: Plan Request, 1400 Adams Street SE, Hutchinson, MN 55350. ***

*** ONLY REGISTERED PLANHOLDERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO BID ON PROJECTS. In order to be a registered planholder you must sign in to the OneOffice/BidVAULT website and download the appropriate bid documents OR purchase a paper plan/proposal set.

Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidders bond, payable to McLeod County Auditor/Treasurer for at least 5 percent of the amount bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects or technicalities.

The McLeod County Board of Commissioners hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for award.  The County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein.
