MCLEOD COUNTY LAND AND PROPERTY FOR SALE TOTALING 1.73 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, INCLUDING:

  1. PID 220605140 (214 – 6TH STREET, GLENCOE, MINNESOTA)
  2. PID 220605130 (212 – 6th STREET, GLENCOE, MINNESOTA)
  3. PID 220604695 (FORMERLY 1.4 ACRES OF PID 220604690 LOCATED WEST OF CHANDLER AVENUE N. AND MINNESOTA HIGHWAY 22).

Sealed bids will be received up to 12:00 p.m. on July 12, 2024 at the McLeod County Government Center, 520 Chandler Avenue N., Glencoe, MN 55336 for the sale of the property and vacant land listed and owned by County of McLeod. Sealed bids must be delivered to the McLeod County Government Center during business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm). The property and vacant land listed will be sold as one unit. The vacant land is generally described below: Lots 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Block 85, Town of Franklin all of which lands are situated in the city of Glencoe, all located in the County of McLeod, State of Minnesota. Together with any vacated streets and alleys lying adjacent thereto. The property and vacant land (which would be split from the current parcel upon sale since it shares a parcel number with the McLeod County Government Center) consists of one (1) single family home structure and one (1) detached garage structure located at PID 220605140, one (1) single family home structure and one (1) detached garage structure located at PID 220605130, and the vacant land described above. All sealed bids received will be opened and reviewed at 8:45 a.m. on July 16, 2024 in the Martin McLeod Boardroom prior to the McLeod County Board of Commissioners Meeting at the McLeod County Government Center, 520 Chandler Avenue N., Glencoe, Minnesota. Only persons submitting a written bid will be allowed to be present at the sale. Anyone submitting a written bid will be allowed to bid on the parcel up for sale and raise their bid after the bids have been opened. The purchase agreement must include a preapproval letter for any financing. The successful bidder shall be prepared to execute a Purchase Agreement on the date of the sale and make a down payment of at least ten (10) percent or $10,000.00 (whichever is less) with the balance due at agreed upon closing date. At the time of closing, a Limited Warranty Deed accompanied by evidence showing marketable title will be delivered to the successful bidder. Possession of the real estate will be delivered at the time of closing; there are no current tenants to the property. Any real estate taxes due and payable in 2024 shall be paid by the Sellers. Real Estate Taxes payable in the year 2025 and thereafter shall be paid by the Buyer. All of the above property is being sold "AS IS" subject to all easements, agreements and restrictions of record.
