Civil Fingerprints
Services Provided
The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Jail Division, provides fingerprinting to the general public for a fee of $20. This fingerprinting process can be used for employment, adoptions, licensing and permits. You may bring in Government approved finger print cards which you obtain from your employer or other sources, or the Sheriff’s Office will provide them for you.
Bring your driver’s license or another form of government issued picture identification, together with $20 cash. You will also need to know your Social Security Number.
The fingerprint process is performed using a high quality, non-ink, live scan system. The finger print cards are printed on a laser printer and given back to you. Please remove all rings, watches and bracelets before we roll your prints.

Fingerprint hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 3:30 (except holidays). Please call 320-864-5191 to schedule an appointment.
When you arrive, please park in the main parking lot and report to the jail lobby.
