Purpose
Preventing or reducing boating accidents and drowning deaths and making Minnesota's waters safe and enjoyable. This includes boating law enforcement, aids to navigation, response to and investigation of boating accidents/drowning deaths, search, rescue and recovery operations, permitting of events and temporary structures and rental boat inspections.
