LiDAR products include a bare earth elevation model, contours at one foot intervals, canopy models, planimetrics, and other various products. McLeod County's project includes raw data, elevation model, and contours at one foot intervals.


Orthophotography will provide McLeod County with positionally correct and detailed aerial photography. Below is an example of the difference between what we will have and what is being used now. Keep in mind the fairgrounds has structures much larger than homes. Often the lack detail in the low resolution aerial makes it impossible to conclude with certainty the layout. The residential comparison below is a good example of that.
