Community Health Promotion a community approach to promoting health has always been a cornerstone of public health. "Public Health is the service and art of 1) preventing diseases 2) prolonging life and 3) promoting health and efficiency through organized community effort". It is based on current community needs and known health risks. Efforts are aimed at community development and coordination to effect healthy behavior.

Case Management and Assessment Services are provided to clients on:
  • Elderly Waiver (EW)
  • Prime West

Referral Services are available to provide contact information for community resources and to assist with referral to home and community based services.

PCA assessments are provided by a registered nurse for consumers or potential consumers of PCA (personal care attendant) services.

Footcare Clinics Under the direction of McLeod County’s Medical Director, an RN or an LPN complete foot care and toenail trimming. Clinics are held monthly at various sites in McLeod County.
