A kennel is a place where four (4) or more dogs or cats, over four months of age, are owned, boarded, bred or offered for sale.

Permit
No person shall operate a kennel within McLeod County without first obtaining a Conditional Use Permit from the McLeod County Board of Commissioners by application on a form furnished by the County Planning & Zoning Office. Such permit shall be valid from the date of issuance unless otherwise revoked or suspended.
