Clean In Clean Out Training (Mandatory for AIS Violators)
Clean In Clean Out training is a short online or home study class available to anyone interested in learning about AIS laws in Minnesota. The training is free and can be found here.
AIS Violations - Mandatory Training
Anyone convicted of or subject to a final order for a violation of Minnesota Statute 84D (Aquatic Invasive Species law) involving water-related equipment must successfully complete this class before continuing to operate or use water-related equipment.
AIS violations include:
- Transporting aquatic plants on public roads
- Launching with plants attached
- Transporting or possessing prohibited species
- Launching into waters with AIS attached
- Failure to drain water/failure to have drain plug out
- Transporting water without a permit
